ARCHISONIC® Cotton
Superior sound absorption while mastering sustainability
Harnessing the potential of Cotton
ARCHISONIC® Cotton harnesses the potential of cotton cellulose, a by-product of the cotton industry that would otherwise go to waste, along with other natural materials, without the use of harmful synthetic binders and chemicals.

Designed for a circular lifecycle
Made from sustainable materials, each acoustic tile is meticulously crafted to be fully recyclable, ensuring that 100% can be seamlessly returned to production at the end of its life.
This approach not only reuses what would otherwise be discarded, but also promotes a healthier indoor environment. By using only natural resources, Cotton is fully compostable.
Cotton offers a stunning range of 24 natural earth tones curated by Colour Hive trend scouts. No harsh chemical dyes are used.
Internationally recognised
Featured in the world's leading magazines such as Forbes and recognised with prestigious awards, Cotton is a testament to both environmental responsibility and exceptional quality.

How is the colour pigmentation achieved?
The colour pigmentation is achieved using mineral pigments, not chemical dyes. These mineral pigments are significantly more stable and highly resistant to light, heat, and chemical degradation. This method of integrating colour with the base cotton linter has been successfully commercialised and is featured in numerous commercial installations.
What is the fire rating of the product?
The product is classified under the NZBC as a Group 1-S. The product is tested to a European standard, EN 13501-1. The New Zealand Building Code has a provision for recognising this test method, and a Class B rating is considered equivalent to a Group 1-S rating (ISO 9705).
Is this product resistant to moisture?
In typical indoor environments, our Cotton Tiles maintain their integrity. The product is backed by a 10-year warranty, offering assurance on its durability.
How should I clean the tiles?
The tiles should only be cleaned by gently rubbing them with a dry cloth. A key advantage of our mechanical fixing system is that individual damaged panels can be easily replaced. We suggest keeping a spare box on hand for this purpose. It's worth noting that this product is best suited for lower-impact areas.
What happens if a panel gets damaged?
As a natural material, the tiles can be more susceptible to marking than synthetic alternatives. However, their organic finish helps to make minor dents or imperfections less noticeable. Our Z-clip system allows for the simple removal and replacement of any damaged panels.
How is the product installed?
The product is designed for circularity and comes pre-fitted with a Z-clip system. The fixings are all included in the cost and are designed for easy installation and disassembly, which also allows for the tiles to be reused. This system is expected to reduce installation time and cost.
Can the tiles be installed in a ceiling grid?
The product has been direct-fixed to plasterboard ceilings in past projects. While it is not designed to sit in a standard ceiling grid, it may be possible to incorporate it into a 600x300 ceiling grid using a Rondo Donn DX-1 (24 mm) main grid and a DX-2 (24 mm) cross grid. This would need to be explored further on a project-by-project basis.
What is the lead time for an order?
The lead time is 10 weeks. The product is stocked and readily available, and shipping time has been confirmed with our freight partner. Closer to the time of order, we can reconfirm the lead time to ensure a smooth delivery.
